This is Henry. He is 3 months old and came to live with us on February 13th. We adopted him from the Humane Society, and he is the sweetest little guy. He is very excited because on Wednesday he starts school. He is going to be at the head of his class, because he already knows how to sit, stay and lay down!
I've been sitting in my studio...sketching and waiting to feel inspired, and sketching some more. It finally hit me and look at this stack of canvases I have prepped! I've got strings of elephants going on vacation...mama bunnies telling their babies bedtime stories...birds throwing parties...friends sharing milk and cookies...and more!
I am SO excited that my mom is back in her studio again! After moving, it was hard for her to find time to paint...but she is back at her table, painting away. I will be updating her website soon, dianacard.com, and will make an announcement when it is finished. There will be new, origingal paintings, prints and a special "barn sale" section. Hooray! Check out this great collection of old buckles. Some are bakelite, most are Abalone. My mom and I decided to put down our ice cream momentarily and make them into little frames for tiny paintings. I used a Dremel to grind and sand out the centers and drill holes and TA DA...now I can wear my paintings as necklaces! I am planning on constructing about 15 more...so keep your eyes peeled if you are interested in one...

Well, I am back from the show...it was wonderful! I was so happy to meet EVERYONE! It was a great weekend...with lots of stunning creations and a fantastic collection of artists. Jen puts on a great party! I didn't snap any photos...but check on the Earth Angels blog (link to the left) for a peak at all the action!
