I've been working on quite an exciting stash of new paintings....
This is the painting I gave to my mother for her recent birthday. For some reason brussel sprouts are her favorite veggie. These two seem to love them too!
Isn't this great? This is the cabinet that my mom uses for our everyday dishes. But she cleaned it out the other night and today I found this stack of plates in the corner. Usable, but too pretty to disturb. They are a few favorites left over from my wedding reception. Now every time I go to grab a bowl or glass, I am reminded of that pretty day...full of ribbons, dancing cosmos and zinnia's, and mismatched antique china.
Here is the cloth that arrived today from Purl Soho. I plan on making it into a cushion for the Boston Rocker that will be in the baby's room. Isn't it CUTE!!!
This morning I woke from the strangest dream. I had been unknowingly made the Prime Minister of England. Sure, I went along with the whole thing for a while. I ate the fancy dinner...dined with the world's elite. Somewhere mid-course I realized though, that I was grossly under qualified...but more importantly...if i have to meet with the president next week...when will I find time to paint? I happily turned down the job. Lucky England.
Who is the Hilltop Girl you ask? I have no idea...but she caught my eye today while I was...you guess it...wandering around, daydreaming.
Through the snow we go. Me on my snow shoes and Henry...on his...feet. On this particular late afternoon, the sky was a brilliant shade of pink...which made the snow pink and the trees pink and us pink. Fine with me...pink is my power color.
I had a request the other day...well, maybe a week ago now...to list my favorite things of 2008. I think that sounds like a great list to make...I will work on it and post it sOOn! Thanks!

Here is a coveted ruby red necklace. When I saw it hanging in the kitchen next to the chintz curtains I just wanted to eat it. Is that something I should publicly admit to?
For the next few weeks I will be preparing for the festivities put on by Earth Angels at the end of January. (see upcoming shows to the right) With all the hooting that has been going on lately, I have been inspired to paint owls. Here is a sneak peek. I love this pussycat's innocent face...
